Registration of Death & Coroners Procedures
This course will cover the procedures of the Registrar including the registration process and all the paperwork involved.

Did you know for example that there is no such thing as a death certificate? Or that the time scale allowed to register the death of a still born baby is very different from that of an adult deceased? You will leave the course with a working understanding of how Registration by Declaration works and the interaction that goes on with the Registrar and Coroner behind the scenes. The Coroners procedures and paperwork can be a minefield, but we will help you unpick the various scenarios and help you understand the role of a coroner, what the purpose of a post mortem is and what happens at an inquest.
